Often times in HR or IT Change management processes, you need to add the user's manager as an approver to the ticket that they have opened up. One of the ways we can streamline this process is by combining our Process Manager app with Zendesk's user fields.
Let's assume that each user has a custom field on their profile, for example, Manager's ID (you can use the manager's email as well).
We need to make a simple trigger to automatically add the manager as an approver when the ticket is created:
- Ticket is created
Note: Modify conditions to fit your flow
- Notify target MPM Add Approvers Target (if you are using user's email, the target should be MPM Add Approvers by email)
Replace <key_name> with the key of the user field.
That is it! Using this method, you can easily automate adding managers/supervisors as approvers to your tickets.
